Unproductive: Censorship
Welcome back!
It never ceases to amaze me the comments that you can encounter on social media websites.
When I “chat” on social media, I do it because I like to do it. I don’t necessarily do it for the benefit of others. While some of the things that I talk about are of interest to people, and that’s why they choose to participate in my media, not everything will be your cup of tea.
I’ve had people message me privately to take my conversations with people to a private level because it provide “no value to them” and that it is not “value-added” for them.
Oh, really? I do not come to social media to speak about what everyone else wants to hear all of the time. There are time when I will converse with someone and that topic may not interest you. That is something with which will have to be dealt. I cannot cater my conversation to you and won’t curtail it because it does add to your perception of value.
Running around more in the social media circles has shown me some things that I don’t think we as a people need to display to one another. If you enjoy what I have to say, please stick around. If what I speak about has no value to you, then perhaps you should move on. If I curtail my conversations with people, that would not project the true essence of myself. To quote a powerful man, “I yam what I yam”!
