I threw down the gauntlet to my social media peeps and asked them to tell me about rejuvenation and what works for them. Here’s the precious pearls of wisdom that I received from three of our great readers:
Miz Liz:
I am realizing more and more how necessity rejuvenation is to the keeping the spirit whole and the creative juices flowing. Without it, we are simply unable to function and "get things done" efficiently and with the quality that many of us aspire to.
I couldn’t agree with you more, Liz. There has to be those times throughout the days or weeks that we set time aside just to rejuvenate. But what do you do to rejuvenate? I want to know what makes YOU tick, Miz Liz!

Rejuvenation opens me up and helps me think more creatively. I’m also happier, which compounds the creativity!I do some very simple yoga. I work on the computer all day, so my neck and legs get very tight. Over time, the muscles in my jaw and shoulders ache and I even grind my teeth at night.
So the yoga is a necessary maintenance tool for me. After I do this very short, simple routine I feel lighter, more relaxed and I can actually hear my jaw pop, opening up my hearing and breathing. Hard to imagine what it would be like to go around all tense like that all the time.
I’ve been hearing yoga call my name for quite some time now. When I don’t listen, I end up regretting it. We just were able to get a Wii and I want to get the “Fit” apparatus so that I can get the yoga disc. Granted it isn’t like going to an actual yoga teacher, but it is something I can do on my time schedule and in the comfort of my own home. Love your explanation of the benefits that you receive, Sparky!

Nothing like getting my 46 year old bag of bones worked via an intense kiteboarding session to flush my system (literally) and clear my mind of all the worldly baggage that it brings into each session. The feeling of being alive and putting your life a little in danger is a great rush.Unlimited speed, Unlimited on demand altitude, green (silent) energy. WHOOOOOOOAAAA
Now that’s adrenaline for rejuvenation! Adrenaline can be a great way to rejuvenate the body and soul. Kiteboarding sounds like tons of fun….now if I just weren’t afraid of heights…….*sigh* Thanks for sharing Jeffery!
So there you have it! Three readers with very different opinions of what rejuvenation means to them and what they do to rejuvenate. But here’s the million dollar question – what do YOU do to rejuvenate?
Chat it up in the comments!
